Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center

Our stay here was absolutely amazing! The rooms were super clean, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. We spent time by the pool and were lucky to have Amie as our host she was incredible! Her service was top-notch, always attentive and friendly. Amie went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even gave us great recommendations for places to explore, which was perfect since it was our first time visiting. We’re already looking forward to coming back and we’ll definitely be asking for Amie again. She truly made our stay unforgettable!

The hotel has is basically its own resort. Amazing. And expensive. We packed food for snacks and meals. Room service was surprisingly affordable, but restaurants were very pricy. Be prepared to walk, the property is huge. I walked almost half a mile just to go up to the lobby and back for a question. The staff were all great. The entry way and main “lobby” feels like it’s outside, only because it’s inside a massive atrium. The hotel rooms surround this massive structure, which hosts everything from restaurants to alligators swimming in an indoor river, pond with a boat. And then there is the water park, which my wife and kids spent their enter day at. The rooms were surprisingly dated, though. We stayed in the most recently built wing, you wouldn’t have known it. No microwave. Also noticed the floor was wet for two days, as if something was leaking. Room was decent size, similar if not slightly smaller than an average hotel room. The convention portion of the hotel was just as impressive. Massive complex with several rooms. The staff were incredible. Met all our needs, were quick to find a solution to our request and were professional overall. The food service was the best I’ve seen. They were able to move 300+ meals in less than 30 minutes. Just overall amazing team.

This is a gorgeous hotel. We have a room with a balcony overlooking the atrium and that’s amazing! We loved seeing the alligator feeding and the beautiful atrium. All the food has been great. The pool is tons of fun. Get there early to reserve your chairs. Bring as many people as available in your party to get towels to put in chairs so you are ready to go at pool time bc chairs fill up! The Bonvoy membership and app enhances the experience with a helpful chat feature and express check in. The only critique I have is parking is expensive in my opinion. They charge daily instead of a one time fee which is what I’m used to.
