The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. The location is also excellent, offering easy access to various parts of the city. Now, for the "savory twist": upon entering the reception area, you'll be greeted by a distinct and pervasive aroma of grilling meat. For some, this might be a bit overwhelming. However, as a meat lover myself, I found it absolutely heavenly! It added a unique, almost rustic, charm to the hotel, and it honestly made me hungry every time I walked in. If you're sensitive to strong smells, this might be something to consider. However, if you appreciate a quirky and memorable hotel experience, and especially if you love the smell of grilling meat, Gekko House is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it for its style, comfort, and unique atmosphere.

I travel quite a bit for business and I have to say, that I'm not impressed with the Gekko House. The cost has been dramatically inflated for the conference and my first day here, no hot water in the shower, bar was closed for a private event (no advance notification) and the staff in the restaurant/bar area is slow. Rooms are adequate and location, but other than that, I wouldn't stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an extremely disappointing experience. I had booked a Deluxe Queen Garden View room, but upon arrival, the reception staff were incredibly rude and dismissive. They informed me that they had no Deluxe Queens available and no garden views either, despite what I had been promised when making the reservation. When I checked out and found a new hotel, I was even more shocked to discover that the towels in the room were brown and stained. The reception staff didn't seem to care at all and just laughed off my concerns. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a complete letdown.
