I really enjoyed my stay at the Geneve Hotel in Mexico City. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's classy and unique ambiance, which feels both beautiful and authentic. The staff impressed me with their professionalism; their attire and dedication to their work truly stood out and made me feel welcomed. The hotel has a fascinating history, including a museum that highlights its significance as the first in Mexico to welcome women-only guests in the past. The lobby is stunning, with an authentic old-world charm that adds to the overall experience. The cafeterias were lovely, and the food was delicious. The rooms also had that classic, vintage touch, which I appreciated, though a few light modifications could enhance comfort. The water pressure in the showers was perfect, making for a relaxing experience. The bar was another highlight — very nice, romantic, and comfortable. The drinks were good, and they even included a snack, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was cozy, with good music creating a perfect ambiance for relaxation or a romantic evening. The only downside was when one of the staff approached us in the evening, informing us that we could only visit certain parts of the hotel. He wasn’t aware that we were guests, and it felt a bit uncomfortable to be told to go back to the lobby area, which was the main attraction for outside visitors. Overall, I loved Mexico, and this stay was one of my best experiences. Thank you, Geneve Hotel, for the wonderful hospitality!
For the price, the hotel is good but do not expect 5 stars. The hotels history is very interesting and the lobby and bar are really nice. Gym is also decent, has everything you need. Also cleaning service was very good. Rooms are large and ours was quiet which was great. As many have said, the rooms are dated but we expected that. They also didn’t have some basic items such as shampoo and conditioner or robes. Expect a really solid 3/4 star experience.
Great service and interesting lobby with interpretive plaques. Knocked off a star for a single small elevator yet with nearby stairs that looked functional but were roped off from use. Also, the rooms lacked modern functionality; no stands for luggage and a small closet, yet the room was extra large by modern standards.
