A nice hotel to stay. Room service is good. Rooms are fairly comfortable and maintained properly. But the internet is extremely slow most of the times.

Good location, near university, but difficult access for big bus

Not too bad experience at all. But there are several downs than ups. I am between 2 and 3, but is more a twoish: Ups: - The staff is friendly, solution oriented, helpful. Especially the people at the front desk and the managers are very kind and nice. - The rooms are not bad, but the one I stayed in was a larger and an upgraded one. - Safe hotel in a quiet area. - Nice executive floor and tea lounge at the roof. - In the heart of the Haidian university district. - Close to U-center, a new mall with several restaurants. Downs: - The rooms are old and falling apart. The daily cleaning is not good and the carpet cover on the floor does not help. The fridge is barely working. The windows are narrow, allowing very little light and giving a claustrophobic feeling. - Internet connection is very poor in the rooms. - Breakfast is not of high standard, few varieties and the local cuisine they are serving at breakfast is kind of greasy. Tea and coffee are not good. - Far away from city center, takes a long subway journey to get to the main attractions in Beijing. - Not close to the nearest subway station (a 10-15 minutes walk). - Considering these negatives, the cost per night is not low. I would stay there again if I had to, particularly because of the helpful and nice staff, but would not hesitate to take a better option if available.
