Wonderful staff. Rooms were clean. The food was yummy. Loved the fresh juices and fruits for breakfast. 8-10 minute walk to the beach. Also felt very safe in the resort!

We had an OK stay at this hotel. Check in is a fiasco if arriving before or around the stated 3 PM check in time. Service was great across the board. We booked a junior sweet, had a problem with the room the first night, the we were moved to a smaller available room that night and upgraded to a very large suite the next morning, which was appreciated. Pool area was nice but very family friendly, maybe a plus for some and a minus for others. Breakfast was good but an overwhelming zoo at prime times between 8 and 10. If you want to go anywhere in Cartagena aside from the hotel you need to take a cab, which isn’t a huge issue as Ubers or Didis are consistently around 17.5k Colombian pesos. This is not a beachfront property. There is a beach directly across a busy highway, but it is not officially allowed for swimming (although I did) and no lifeguards on duty. The rooms and common areas are shabby. Peeling wallpaper, signs of water and humidity damage, missing or rusted fixtures, etc. there were signs that renovations were in process but didn’t but I didn’t observe any work taking place.

BLACK MOLD BE WARNED!!!! there is black mold everywhere. once you arrive take a close look around at the walls, ceilings, even the air vents. Black mold makes people deathly sick. This hotel was horrible, the staff was even very aware of the mold. Once you walk into your room you will smell the mold. At first we thought it was cleaning supplies until it would not go away at all. after taking a good look at the walls around it was clear there was mold. They tried to switch our room and that room was even worse. BE WARNED IF YOU STAY HERE YOU WILL GET SICK. BLACK MOLD IS NOT TO BE PLAYED WITH.
