Giants Table and Cottages

We loved our stay here. Cottages are roomy, clean and perfectly met our needs for a stay close to Mt. Field and the Tasmanian wilderness area. Checking in was easy and the caretaker Donna was friendly. This is good value accommodation and it was great to see a brochure with information about the area.

Fantastic facilities on a budget. A sweet cluster of cottages that are decked out with modern conveniences and upgraded appliances. Kinda funny to stay there just as a couple because there’s 5 bedrooms but we just kept to the one bedroom with an ensuite where there was a wall heater and electric blankets - luxury! Would be awesome to come in a group of keen hikers, with Mt Field so close by. Really enjoyed our stay, only disappointed we stayed on nights (Mon & Tue) the attached restaurant wasn’t open because it also looked very nice.

Stayed in cottage 1B for a night, then added a second night after seeing the room. Appears to have been recently renovated, the space was very clean and tidy, with every imaginable appliance, including a free clothes washing machine and dryer. The room doesn't have a stove per-se, but there's a small bench top oven-grill, and two portable induction cookers and we didn't find ourselves wanting in this department. There is not an exhaust fan for the kitchenette but we opened some windows and this managed the cooking smells and moisture just fine. All in all we were very comfortable, and communication from management was excellent. Will definitely stay again in future.
