Gillieru Harbour Hotel

I had a fantastic stay at Gillieru Hotel! The location was perfect, my room with the terrace jacuzzi was amazing, and the food at Ostrica Restaurant was absolutely delicious. What really made it special was the staff — so kind and thoughtful, always ready to help and making sure I had everything I needed. Special thanks to Ariana and Irah, you truly made my stay unforgettable! ❤️

Stayed at Gillieru hotel May 2025 and would never stay again. I booked a single room with sea view. I was given a spacious double room. However one window curtain was hanging off its rail and my bedside light did not work, l reported this to reception but nothing was ever done. There were only sheets on the bed with no other covering which proved, with air conditioning to be cold at night. I utilised 2 blankets in wardrobe for cover.

We stayed at the Gillieru Harbour Hotel for 10 nights and left with mixed – mostly disappointing – impressions. The location is clearly the hotel’s biggest asset: right on the waterfront and next to our dive center, which was convenient for our plans. The surrounding view is lovely, and that part definitely delivered. Unfortunately, the hotel itself felt outdated in many ways. The pool was quite small and unexpectedly saltwater – not a problem per se, but surprising and not really communicated. The rooms were very poorly soundproofed – we could hear conversations from the hallway and from outside as if people were right in the room. Neither the windows nor the doors seemed to block much sound, which affected the overall sense of rest and comfort quite a lot. To make matters worse, many of the front desk staff came across as cold or borderline unfriendly. That’s something we hadn’t expected from a place in this price range. If you value location above all else, this hotel might still work for you. But if you’re looking for comfort, warmth, or even just a quiet place to relax, we’d recommend looking elsewhere.
