Ginger Kochi MG Road

Everything was fine with the hotel. The rooms were smaller than expected. once we kept our three bags, there was hardly any space left. However, the cleanliness and staff service were good. The only issue we faced was after our 3 day stay. Once we checked out, we had around 3 hours before our train. We requested a room just for 15 minutes so my wife could change before heading to the railway station, but they didn’t allow it. Usually, other hotels are considerate and at least offer a room bathroom for a quick freshen up.

A Worthwhile Stay! The hotel offered a comfortable and pleasant experience. Clean rooms, courteous staff, and great amenities made it feel like a home away from home. Definitely good value for the price—would recommend to others looking for a relaxing stay.

I booked Ginger MG Road in Kochi expecting a 4-star experience, but what I found was a complete nightmare. The room was far below acceptable standards: the toilet smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, was visibly dirty, and clearly had not been cleaned properly. The bedsheets and towels were old, worn out, and stained, making the whole place feel unhygienic and neglected. The overall condition of the room was depressing and absolutely not what you would expect from a hotel listed as 4 stars. In some rooms the plugs are right over the head. Why ? This hotel does not meet international standards and is not suitable for foreign travelers expecting basic cleanliness, comfort, or quality. I ended up changing hotels and making a new booking elsewhere at my own cost just to escape the poor conditions. I feel completely misled by the photos and descriptions online. This hotel is nothing like what’s advertised. Stay away unless you want to throw your money away. Only positive thing the lady at the counter who felt sorry and couldn’t help more on making my journey better.
