Very nice and clean hotel that is walking distance to the Monster Village, Xitou education centre and bus station. Breakfast is included which has a great variety of vegetarian options. There is a cafe downstairs which offer set meals and hot pot! Perfect for a cold night kn the mountains Opposite the hotel is a nice nature path which is misty and has tables and chairs for some zen reflection.
Comfortable and reasonably priced. Excellent location if you are visiting the Xitou Recreational Forest area. The hotel serves a decent breakfast which is great as there isn't much choice of restaurants nearby. Would definitely return to this hotel if I return to Xitou.
This hotel is located about a 10 min walk from the entrance to Xitou park. That would be all uphill BTW. It is a bit hard to get to, but a decent place to stay if you going to spend time in the park. Rooms are clean, that's about all I can say about them. This hotel is severely outdated, it is way past it's prime. But again, clean rooms so you cant really complain. The hotel is an open column in the center, so if they have a party on the first floor, you will hear throughout on every single floor. So make sure you check to see if they are holding events the nights you stay. We were here during some school reunion and man did those seniors play MJ up until the early hours. ( MJ = loud Chinese poker played with little tiles) Breakfast was a good spread, different variety of food offered. So if the local fare is not to your liking, then you can have some egg and toast. Staff was decently friendly, not great but just okay. Tip, when you take the bus up here and expect to be picked up by the hotels shuttle. Take the bus all the way to the end. Do not follow any hotel staff and get off early. As it's all severe uphill, not good for luggage carrying. There is very little in way of food or other things around here. Make sure you eat or get food before all the local places close around sunset. Would honestly stay inside the park at a different place, if there is a next time.
