Girandella Resort Valamar Collection Family Hotel

As last year, our stay in Valamar adults only, was again wonderful. It was nice that the staff remembered us, felt a bit like coming home. The breakfast and lunch is always good, the restaurants in the evening are good and there are plenty to choose from. The hotel room was clean and neat. We again enjoyed our sea view.

We had a second great vacation here. Location and setup of the adults hotel are very nice and comfortable. Service is super friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Mislav :)!

Foreword: we are travel agents and have lived in so many hotels in different countries and places. This hotel positions itself as a premium and is considered a high level in Croatia, but in fact the level does not correspond to the stated one. You're greeted with a smile and escorted to the room with a smile, but that's where all the hotel's hospitality ends. ATTENTION: on "All Inclusive" you won't even have a bottle of water in your room.. and this is in a family hotel where the main fluid of children is water! And if you want to drink in your room, stock up on bottles to go to get water at the buffet (as in the cheapest hotels), and if you didn't do it and you're thirsty on a summer night, you'll have to walk a long time to the only stained bar, and pray that it's open. Mini Bar in the room is extra charge. The bar where you can drink cocktails after you have laid the baby is open only until 22:00, if you are late here, then at another open bar you will have to pay for the same cocktails. Freshly squeezed juice for breakfast costs €5 and is poured exactly half a glass. Dear Girandella, you get paid from €400/night to stay, and your all-inclusive level is the most impoverished we've ever seen. The standard room is terribly small and clueless, reminiscent of a cabin on a ship where space was organized at least wisely. The wardrobe in the room is not designed for two adults, and the closet has 2 shelves. Furniture is in poor condition. The phone's tube doesn't work, just the loudspeaker. The curtains are leaky... When you press the "Do Not Disturb" button, staff still come in to clean up. Why this function at all then? The food is normal, there are even delicious dishes, but the choice is small. The main restaurant of the Family resembles a dining room where it is very crowded. Staff here is friendly. You don't feel welcome at this hotel. The only thing that is well organized and where the staff tries is a children's club. The children's area here is good, but for this money, other family hotels already offer much more. A lot of adults are smoking around the children's area. I will write more about the rest on booking and TripAdvisor. Price-Quality doesn't match at all here. There is a price, there is no quality. I don't recommend this hotel, "All Inclusive" here is the worst in all our years in tourism and just shocked us.
