Gl. Skovridergaard Hotel and Conference Center

It is a great and art lover hotel. It's a bit vintage, but it feels good in nature. There was a problem in our room in the big hotel part, but the receptionist took us to the side where the queen was staying. We stayed in a beautiful suite. we also chose 2 evening tasting menus. The wines and plates were also very nice. staff were friendly and helpful. I would love to stay again. Also close to museum Jorn and swimming. (in 2021)

A nice hotel on the edge of the city. The rooms are fine. You can hear the noice from the other rooms and hallway clearly. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The beds are comfy, just a little small to lay in for someone around 1.90m. Breakfast is fine. The service is good. The walk to the city center is 20 minutes.

I was there last Spring for a business trip and there were things that honestly I expected better for a 4 stars (and rather expensive) hotel. Particularly, the room, which I value as the most important facility in a hotel, was not comfortable: the bed was small, the quality of both the mattress and the pillow was not very good, and the toilet was super tiny, especially the shower. The fitness room equipement was really limited. On the other hand, the staff was very nice, the breakfast is good and the surrroundings are beautiful (and you can borrow a bike to explore them), but in my sincere opinion that does not justify the price paid.
