This was my first time using this service, and to sum it up, it was fantastic! Thanks to you, I have a wonderful summer memory. This time, I chose a glamping plan with one night's stay and two meals, and I think the experience was great value for the 22,000 yen per person. - Free use of the on-site hot spring facilities → Includes an open-air bath, sauna, and hot stone bath → Unlimited use even after check-out - The staff are friendly and attentive - Many free activities → Fun activities like campfires, fireworks, marshmallows, and table tennis → Karaoke is available for an additional fee - The barbecue portions are generous and convenient → Appetizer platters and soups are also available! → The barbecue is held in a separate space next to the tent, so it's private. → All setup and cleanup is handled, making it easy. ・There's a large supermarket across from the facility. → If you run out of alcohol or snacks, you can buy them there and keep them in your room's refrigerator. ・A 25-minute walk from Shinrin-koen Station, the nearest station (a 5-minute taxi ride costs about ¥1000). ・It's located in a residential area, so the view isn't of the ocean or forest. That's about it. I was worried because I read reviews saying the air conditioning in the room wasn't working, but it worked great and was comfortable! Although it's a little far from the city center, it's a great value place to relax in a private tent and refresh in the hot springs. I highly recommend it!
It cost 350 yen for children and 700 yen for adults to just take a bath. It was a Saturday during the summer holidays, but it wasn't very crowded, so I was able to relax. The baths were clean and all were lukewarm, just the right temperature for the hot summer. The mist sauna was hot, so it warmed me up.
It's usually empty, but since it was Sunday, all the lockers were taken, so we had to wait next to the front desk until one became available. Thankfully, there weren't many other groups waiting to enter. The number we were given wasn't even a numbered ticket; it was just a scribbled "3" in ballpoint pen on a scrap of paper. What's more, it was a "3" written on top of a "2," which I'm not sure if it was a mistake, but it was written on top of a "2," making it difficult to tell which number was which (I wish they'd at least rewritten the number on a new piece of paper). We were eventually shown to the dining area, where we were given a free drink and waited. Since I'd only used the hot springs up until then, it was nice to know there was a dining area. The service was polite, so I'll try using it again if I have the chance. The bath area was lively and not bad. However, the floor was wet in some places, which was a bit unpleasant. This situation is something to consider, so I'll probably try it on weekdays in the future.
