We had a very pleasant stay here for 2 nights. We stayed in the classic double queen with balcony. We appreciated the drying rack on the balcony for our wet items after spending time at the Glenwood hot springs pools. Our room looked to be newly remodeled. Check in was a little slow to get our luggage to our room due to one elevator working. At other times, we did not really experience delays with only one elevator. They provided free shuttle to and from the pools and breakfast as my mother uses a walker. Our stay was inclusive of access to the pools, free towels at the pools, 10% discount at the snack bar/grill/store, and breakfast. We reserved 2 times for breakfast. The breakfast can be ordered/self serve continental/ or a combination of both. The first breakfast, we chose a 9am reserved time. The self serve area at this time was poorly kept with very little to choose from. The second day we went at 8am and there were plenty of choices. I eould recommend choosing an early time for breakfast. Ordering allows more choices and it is made to order. They also offer a daily special that is with the continental breakfast area. Our days had chicken fried steak and gravy for the first day and biscuits and gravy on the second day. We appreciated the veggie sausage as an option with the ordered plates. The upper pools are adult only after 5pm and this was great for us as we did not have children with us. Check in at the pools was very easy and they offered as many towels as we wanted. The bathrooms, showers, and changing areas were clean. We noticed frequent checks of the water quality. The staff at the hotel and pools were all friendly and helpful.

We had high hopes for our stay, but unfortunately, several issues made it far from comfortable. The first room we got had an AC problem and wasn’t cooling down properly. We were moved to a smaller room (without a patio/balcony), which felt like a downgrade, and it still had the same AC issue. They sent an electric fan, but it didn’t help much, and the room remained warm and uncomfortable for both nights of our stay. We raised our concerns, and one manager initially offered a discount. However, during check-out, a different manager gave a lower amount than what was originally promised. The lack of consistent communication between managers was disappointing. The room itself looked nice, but the kitchen sink was poorly designed and drained very slowly. Amenities around the hotel were generally great, although you need to cross the street to get to the hot spring area and the pools became quite crowded over the weekend, which took away from the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast on the second day was also a letdown — the pancake and sausage tasted a bit sour, and the bacon was extremely salty compared to the day before. I brought it up to the staff, and they replaced the bacon, but I was surprised when they admitted that the first batch I received was from the previous day. This stay had potential, but the combination of room issues, inconsistent service, and food concerns affected the overall experience. Better coordination among staff and more attention to detail would go a long way.

This is a tourist trap. It is a refurbished motor lodge. It’s nice enough and right across the street from the hot springs. But the prices are outrageous for what you get. I am usually able to avoid traps like this but was too busy to do my normal due diligence before booking. Don’t make the same mistake. If you want to go to the hot springs pay for a one day pass and stay at a better hotel elsewhere for cheaper. You really don’t need to do more than one day at the hot springs. Trust me they aren’t all that great.
