Check in instructions were clear and easy. The apartment was extremely clean and perfect for my family. Lounge area and rooftop on the property was a vibe! The host was very friendly and reached out often to make sure our stay was to our satisfaction. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm in the DC area. Highly recommend!

This is not a traditional hotel!!! This is a multi use residential building with specific apartments to be rented for medium-term business stays. DO NOT BOOK THIRD PARTY, as there is additional communication required for check in. I wish I had known the business model and layout before booking, as it’s not a bad idea but “check in” was a nightmare. After booking “Global Luxury Suites” online through trip.com, I showed up on my arrival date a few weeks later. Dropped off at the curb, my troubles started with finding the entrance (it’s called Revel) Once inside, I realized there was no check in desk and the wonderful package room attendant helped me up to the third floor where the GLS office was. Being after hours it was locked, and I frantically called the customer service line multiple times to no avail. Luckily there was an office attendant/house keeper(?) onsite who found me panicked in the hall, and she was able to help me get the “move in” packet that was supposed to be shared with me upon booking. She was extremely helpful in explaining how to access the room. Once inside, I found the suite to be clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Unfortunately the only locking mechanism is the door bolt, which made me feel quite vulnerable. This is a very modern and unique lodging idea that could see a lot of success for mid term renting but should not be advertised as a hotel. The website needs to be clearer and easier to access important information (like how to check in.) It was not their fault that I didn’t receive the packet (we can thank the booking service for that) but the available information is deceptive about lodging format. As someone that was expecting a hotel, I would have preferred a traditional hotel experience but if you are a medium stay traveler looking to try the next new thing, go for it.

As I have feared, before booking and seeing in the reviews many times about the bedframe being unstable and broken, it has happened on the first night out of four nights of stay. I even reached out originally and called to request, confirm and make sure about the bed being intact. I should've noticed the first bad sign from the call speaking with customer service with an aggressive Indian lady not even addressing my concerns and just giving excuses about the random reviews. Had to put the mattress on the floor because we're worried about our safety since the bed shakes and cracks from any small movement on it and would collapse. See in the attached pictures. The communication has been the worst throughout the stay. Wasn't able to get in touch people at first not until the next morning. But then had to go through several different people, numbers and contact points, no answer most of the time, leaving messages and even with emails etc. My family are in town for a few days at all-day events until very late, so changing rooms is extremely inconvenient and not preferable. And we don't have time to call back each time since we're busy out all day. Eventually was told via text about going to their office in the same building. Went there on third day a few times and it was closed each time with sign with a number, called and just went to voicemail. In the end, was talking to at least three different people and was told about compensation for two days as we've requested it. Was told about a confirmation email about that too which I have yet to receive after several days of trip. Was told originally that the process will take at least two weeks with their billing dept. Doesn't sound to be a professional company or organization, let alone a hotel/apartment. Will update as this goes along. They claim about "luxury" experience, but with the most basic amenity failing, which is the bed, and with ineffective communication process, doesn't feel like anything but. Was clean at least. But save yourself the trouble and for peace of mind, avoid this place.
