I was with my 11-year-old at the Gloria Golf Hotel from July 18 to July 31. The vacation itself was great. I like the food, the service, the room. I especially liked the pier where the kids can jump off. We went to the evening programs maybe twice, because we went to bed early and slept more. But the last day of vacation was very dark. The thing is, if you're from Gloria Golf, you can only get free drinks and food here. We knew that, and we never ate or drank at the Gloria Serenity next door. And the day we left, the check showed us a bill for the drinks and water that we hadn't taken. But it's got our number, name and signature on it. How is that even possible? We didn't lose the card from the room. But even at 1:00 a.m., we slept in the same room every night. Why don't you check the cameras??? How could they have drawn our number card at the bar??? When we're even sleeping with the baby in the room. I don't want to hear about the signature that doesn't match. I had to write a check saying I didn't drink at Serenity. It's not even about the amount, it's about the situation where you're accused of something you didn't do. This is very unpleasant. Set up some kind of tracking and verification system. But leaving left a very unpleasant impression.
We had a truly wonderful 10 nights at Gloria Golf Resort in July 25. I will start by saying no resort is perfect, but this one ticked pretty much most of our boxes to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible. The grounds are so calming and well maintained, with lushes lawns and fruit trees. Lovely walks to and from breakfast/lunch etc. The Gloria Golf is not fancy but the quality of food, drinks and especially the service makes up for it. (The Serenity is much more modern/fancy but smaller and shares some grounds with the Golf so easily accessible by walking). We stayed in a Garden room, which was comfortable, clean and close location to the kids pool/slides. Bathroom was on the small side. Waterpark was great for our kids and sunbeds always available, never too crowded. Now the food: we have stayed at many all-inclusives and this was by far one of the best for us because Vimal the chef made our stay unforgettable. His food was fresh, flavoursome and catered to our tastes with homemade Indian curries and fresh naan. We looked forward to our meals every evening and his service was truly excellent. All the waiting staff, especially Ramazan were also brilliant. Very attentive and quick with drinks. Every night there is a grill section with meats and fish, as well as the usual pastas, stews, roasts you would find at an all-incl. Breakfast was also amazing with no queuing for an omelette! It is brought to your table. Yes there are flies around but there are also lots of plants and trees! Plenty of choices for food during the day too, and a 24 hour restaurant in case you miss the allocated food times. We had a couple of issues with our room but we used the hotel WhatsApp service and they were quickly resolved. We also used the WhatsApp to order golf buggies and hire bikes. Very useful service and it works. We truly enjoyed our stay and can honestly say this is probably the only resort we would return to in Turkey, (so much better than Rixos Sungate and Kaya Palazzo where the staff are miserable and food is awful). Whilst the Gloria Golf is not modern/fancy, for us it is up there with the likes of Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai for great service, lovely grounds and good quality of food. And the chocolates from the Serenity Hotel chocolatier are absolutely divine. Thank you to everyone at Gloria and we will see you next year!
Gloria Golf Resort is the rare resort that wins over even those of us who don’t usually like resorts. We've stayed at other luxury properties in the area—glossier on paper—but none come close to the sense of ease and serenity this place offers. The food is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the staff are unfailingly kind. But what truly sets it apart is the sprawling, green campus. It feels more like a nature preserve (there is a "mini farm" that includes an aviary) with swimming pools than a hotel—lush, quiet, and full of winding paths perfect for long, unhurried walks. There’s also something wonderfully nostalgic about it. Not dated, but reminiscent of a 1990s resort in the best sense—relaxed, generous, unpretentious. It’s a time warp in the most comforting way, and a total contrast to the intensity of city life. Perfect for families, and an easy place to fall in love with.
