Gloria Grand Hotel

Absolutely great hotel. A great value for the money. Service was amazing and staff were friendly. There is a pool where you can enjoy. After all, its just 5 minutes walking distance from the beach which amazing. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel in a convenient location. It is just on the road to Unawatuna beach. Very easy to find and so easy access to the beach. Hotel looks very clean and nice. Not a very big area. But compared to other hotels around this area, this is quite big. Spacious rooms clean and nice. It is something more than what we expected. Bed was so comfy. We loved the balcony view. We could watch people walking, eating chatting on the road and it gives a different experience and it is relaxing at the same time. Bathrooms was clean and well maintained. New amenities. Spacious too. All necessary stuff was there including Safe, Hair dryer, USB charging etc. Restaurant is on the 1st floor. It is with two sections inside and outside. Outside section is quite interesting where you can see people around on the road. Very relaxing. Food was good. We had breakfast buffet from there. Buffet had both western and Sri Lankan style. Other meals were taken from outside. Staff was very friendly. The guy was in the reception was so nice. He was guiding us all the way. I would highly recommend this place if you are going to unawatuna.

Lovely hotel prime position, gorgeous room, didn't try whirlpool bath but it looked good. Small pool, but sea only 200 m. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only point I would improve was a decent bright light for make up. Like most hotels lighting was atmospheric. Our rooms had fridge and useful ice compartment bring your own tray, dining lounge kitchen area, no cooker- who wants to cook anyway. Hairdryer, balcony over lively Street at tree canopy height which was interesting. Quiet at night, good views of bats flying out at dusk and birds in the morning.
