Gloria Hotel

Our stay at Hotel Gloria in Tashkent was deeply disappointing from start to finish. The hotel is housed in an old, poorly maintained building with dirty carpets that give a generally unhygienic feel. The bed made loud creaking noises with every slight movement, and the toilet door couldn’t even be locked properly. To make matters worse, the toilet flush barely worked, which was very frustrating. Despite booking a room with a king-size bed, we were given one with two twin beds — no apology or explanation provided. The worst part was being forced to pay USD 8 for paint stains we were falsely accused of causing on the wall. It’s not about the money, but the injustice of being blamed for something we clearly didn’t do. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. Booking.com should seriously reconsider continuing to list this property. Just read the other reviews before booking — we unfortunately didn’t, and now we regret it. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Worst hotel ever, the water is brown the beds are terrible, the showers don’t work. The rooms smells like death. The hotel is from the Cold War. Do not stay here. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Terrible hotel. Couldn't sleep all night. It's nearly 6am and I should be sleeping but I'm writing a review instead. Bedding is awful - it smells bad. Bed mattress is terrible - uneven, not lofty thick like other hotels. Bathroom is old. Showerhead is bad and yucky. Loo flash is not working. Carpet seems unclean that you don't feel like stepping on it bare feet. TV is old - doesn't have YouTube (not a smart TV). I don't know how breakfast is yet. Spa is not working. Staff are nice. Location is nice. I don't recommend this hotel. I got headache right now. Waste of stay/money.
