GLOW Sukhumvit 5 by Centropolis

Very good location. Older hotel but in the process of updating rooms, etc. Our room was comfortable and large enough for two people. The bed was very comfortable making for a good night sleep. The shower was good with lots of hot water and good pressure. The room was cleaned daily. The air-conditioning system worked very well. The rooms are reasonable quite, not much outside noise, maybe a noisy neighbour closing their door to hard. Wifi is the only downside, a bit slow, and the need to login everytime. The pool is getting dated but clean. Nice place to cool off after a day out. Very enjoyable stay.

Do not book here the bed is awful the the sheets don't fit the bed and there are 3 ,yes 3 mattress toppers. The pool is old and not well kept. The "pool bar" looks like it hasn't been used in years. The whole pool area is just a smoking place. The hotel is old and not comfortable and smells of moth balls. Its in the middle east quarter of the city so if you want to be near cheep cloting and handbag shops then this is your place. There are a load better in Bangkok for cheaper. The receptionist was also very rude on arrival. Not the usual happy thai welcome.

The hotel has terrible service. They don't want to do anything. They even want you to complete their paperwork when you arrive because they're too lazy to do it. Rooms are small and maintenance is poor. Many things broken or don't work and all they say is sorry bit they don't fix anything. Water pressure in shower is terrible. It's so weak you can't even wash the soap pit of your hair. The soap and shampoo are horrible. So many better hotels around, don't waste your money at this overpriced poorly run hotel
