I hate to do this but I really don't have a choice considering that others could be victim. I came into the country and wanted a hotel close to a particular spot because I had a flight heading to Enugu to catch up with the morning of the next day and this hotel was the closest I could get. The rooms were not only poor but to see rats running up and down was a big embarrassment and not only that, there was this white garment church that is wall to wall with the hotel, trust me you can't sleep because of noise. The worst of it was that I forgot a small phone that contained one of my MTN lines in the hotel room, which I got to know later that day after checking out, but I was already in Enugu. I called the hotel but no response. To my greatest chagrin they had used USSD to initiate transaction to my Access bank account by the next day. That day, I discovered I couldn’t initiate transaction using my Access bank account App, but I thought it was the usual network issues, but it kept on telling me that my pin had been disabled. When it became clear to me that money was leaving my account was when I started receiving email debit alert. I called my bank and MTN to block the account and line respectively, but I had lost 50k already. The bank later told me that those guys tried to break into my App but couldn’t and then had to resort to using USSD, and because you can’t transfer much using USSD, that was why I didn’t loss much. I contacted the hotel to raise the concern, the guy that spoke to me, albeit in a very polite way was asking for evidence of the alert, but to avoid exposing myself further I simply told him the name of the person money was credited to. In a safe hotel, your forgotten belongings will be kept safe for you and the hotel will contact you. This is a den of criminals, please avoid them like plague for your own good especially if you don't know Lagos very well
MY WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER - pictures attached. This hotel is the worst I've ever stayed in, the location is terrible, service is abysmal and the total experience is a nightmare. I paid 22k for the deluxe room and it was a total waste of money. First, the hotel is situated in a swamp and very unsafe area, it is literally in front of a dirty, smelling and extremely disgusting canal. The street is very rough and the road is bad. Secondly, the service is the worst. The hotel generator went off by past 11pm and the AC stopped working as the inverter only carried some sockets and lights. The intercom also wasn't working so we had to go down four flights of stairs to the reception to request for a fan as the room was very hot and no air was going in or out (we couldn't open the window or curtain because of the canal smell and the net was torn). After almost an hour of waiting, they gave us a broken and rickety fan. The inverter went off around past 1 and the hell continued, we could not sleep all night, it was hot and big fat mosquitoes feasted on us. I won't be surprised if I fall sick soon. Thirdly, the room was disgusting, the wallpaper was peeling and water leaked in from outside with crawling insects in them. We requested for a mop or towel to dry the water and never got any. The facilities were terrible as the hallways and staircase weren't lit. The bulbs had been removed. The receptionist lady was very rude and they lied to us all night to morning that they were fixing the gen but nothing was done. The experience was so terrible that we left first thing in the morning, by 7am, we didn't even wait for breakfast. I have never regretted anything as much as I regretted spending the night at this hotel. Please don't waste your money like I did. Look at the attached images and see for yourself.
