Gold Island Hotel All Inclusive

We have just come back from an excellent stay at this resort. Amazing food, lovely pool and pleasant room. I really enjoyed swimming in the sea too, as the water was fairly calm. The food was amazing, with plenty of variety. All drinks were great and made well. The waffles were such a nice afternoon treat. We were served by Elif and Fikret for breakfast and they were always so friendly, kind and helpful. Would love to go back again one day.

The hotel is of excellent level and quality, everywhere is clean, the rooms are updated, the food is good, all the dishes are fresh. Great hotel, I highly recommend it 👍🏼 I would like to separately note the excellent work of the bartender Cemil - great cocktails, always in a good mood and in general a very friendly person🥰

When we first arrived at the hotel we were greeted very well, and even tho we came in the middle of the night we got good service. We even got our bags carried to our room. The place is really beautiful and almost every night there’s some sort of entertainment which is really nice. We could either eat at the buffet or the snack bar as lunch, and the service at the buffet was extremely nice, which was great considering we were eating most of our meals there. Although the A La Carte restaurant was a real disappointment. Luckily it was free since we booked it the first day we were here. But we definitely learnt everything free is NOT good. The waiters seemed very confused and not as service minded as the ones in the buffet or the other places of the hotel. The margarita tasted like it had been drenched in water and then heated up in the microwave for 10 seconds. The fries were soggy and cold. And there was no tomato sauce on the pizza just wet bread and wayyyy too much cheese. The other meals around the table were also not at a restaurant level, especially considering it was represented as a fancy restaurant. It was a very nice view and very pleasant setting. But the food and the service was not at the level that it should’ve been. Unfortunately this in our opinion brings down the extremely good atmosphere of the hotel. Because everything else has been amazing. I’ve cream, drinks etc. Otherwise we are very happy with our stay. Although there was also a fair amount of dust under the beds, luckily we slept on the beds so it was maintainable. Very decent place. Although do not go to the A La Carte restaurant. (I think it was called that but the one on the seventh floor) Because that place was nowhere near the quality of the service of the hotel. Both swimming pools and beaches were available and pleasant. Although the music at the smaller pool was very disturbing and the same damn beat over and over again. Otherwise very nice. The other places had good music. Although not very many alternatives for vegetarians at the A La Carte restaurant as well but that’s no surprise considering everything else I said. Also the menus were extremely confusing and weird. Otherwise nice hotel but I would not recommend the said restaurant. (I didn’t mention everything good/ less good about the hotel, but in conclusion the trip was very enjoyable and my hate for the restaurant upstairs didn’t effect our overall stay. But as a certified restaurant-eater I recommend you step up the game of the food at that place.)
