The location is excellent but once you enter the hotel there is a stingy smell which persists only in the reception area. Rooms are good. Bathrooms are not up to the mark. If you need to take a shower, we need to step inside the bathtub and stand. The breakfast menu is good.

I stayed at Gold Orchid Bangkok Hotel for just 12 - 15 hours, and it was a very disappointing experience. Although the hotel claims to be newly renovated, it is very poorly maintained. The biggest issue was hygiene. My first room had cockroaches in the bathroom, cockroach larvae in the sink, and other insect larvae hanging from the ceiling and walls. When I reported this to the front desk, they sent someone with mosquito repellent spray, which doesn’t solve the problem. They didn’t respond clearly when I asked about proper pest control. They moved me to another room, but even there, I found egg larvae hanging from the ceiling and near the bathroom door. This clearly shows that the pest issue exists throughout the hotel. Other issues I noticed: Dusty AC filters – could trigger allergies Old thermostats Light switches barely work – need to be pressed hard to function General feeling of neglect despite "renovation" Please think twice or thrice before booking here. This hotel doesn't need another renovation — it needs better maintenance and hygiene control. I would not recommend staying here.

I had the worst experience last week when I stayed there. The AC in my room wasn't working, so I called the reception and filed a complaint. They sent an electrician, who checked it and said it would take 20 minutes. But even after 20 minutes, it still wasn't working. I called the reception again, and the same thing kept happening. I raised the complaint five times, but they didn’t provide any proper customer support. They even cut the call midway. I do not recommend hotels like this – such irresponsible staff. The toilet also had a terrible smell.
