Golden Acqua Salou

Quite a small hotel, so naturally it was never overcrowded like other huge hotels in the resort. Best compliment i can give is the food. It was quite wonderful, everyday it was delicious, perfect. All the staff were very good. Very friendly. Rooms were a touch on the small side, but they were clean and tidy, balcony was very good. Price for a pint of beer €3.60 I’m not kidding. It’s fairly cheap all over Salou. Except- - Opposite the hotel is an Irish pub, it’s good but I payed €6.90 for a Guinness. If you’re a bit older , be aware this hotel is on quite a steep hill, so it may not suit you. Roughly 10 minutes walk to the lovely beach Perfect for young toddlers, it’s shallow. Yes i would recommend this hotel.

Golden Acqua is such a wonderful hotel, you are made to feel so welcome whenever you walk in the door. For this reason I return to this hotel multiple times every year. I've been twice this year and booked to return again in Septemeber. The hotel is so clean, and staff ensure it stays this way throughout the day. Rooms are spotless, being serviced every day and clean towels every day if required. There is always something available to eat at mealtimes no matter how picky you might be. The main reason I always return here is the staff. I have never met a team that are so friendly and helpful than at Golden Acqua. They honestly cannot do enough for you, and I always look forward to seeing them when I visit, and think about them often when I am back home. If you're looking for a chilled out, relaxing holiday with good people then this is the place to go if in Salou.

Just spent the week here in Salou after booking with Jet2. First point to note the pool is very small with only a handful of loungers available (or not available as they are taken very early) the rooms are ok and clean but again look nothing like the pictures on the Jet2 website when booking. Location is good just a short walk from the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants. Salou itself is pretty tacky and the beach is packed all of the time. Staff at the hotel are all friendly, the rooms are cleaned daily. Views are poor and the hotel is bang on the middle between other hotels so you get noise from all of them, not to mention being tormented by the fact you can see they have a better pool 🤣. The dining room always has spaces and a fairly decent selection although pretty bland still is good quality. All in all If you like Salou and not a pool person then hotel is worth staying but if not you may be disappointed.
