Guest Reviews 4.1 / 5
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and had a truly wonderful experience. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Taksim Square. Unlike many other hotels in the area that are known for poor service and lack of cleanliness, this hotel exceeded our expectations in both aspects. The service is excellent, the rooms are clean, and the price is very reasonable. The breakfast is generous and varied, offering a wide selection of delicious options to suit every taste. Moreover, the staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, when it comes to the balance between price, service, cleanliness, and location, this hotel definitely deserves a 5-star rating.
Disappointing experience overall. The safe box in the room wasn’t secured to the wardrobe, which defeats the whole point of having one — and to make it worse, it didn’t even work despite following the instructions. We booked a bedroom for 4 adults and a 9-year-old child, but found a cot in the room instead, even though our booking clearly specified otherwise. The walls were paper-thin, and we could hear babies crying and noise from other rooms constantly. There was a bad damp smell throughout our floor, and an unpleasant odour from the stairs leading into the restaurant. Breakfast was decent and probably the only positive part of the stay. The street noise at night was an issue, especially since our room was on the first floor. The cleaning service was a disaster — the bathroom and bedroom were barely cleaned, and we accidentally noticed a thick, disgusting layer of dust and dirt under the beds that looked like it hadn’t been touched for years. Room service seemed to just vacuum and tidy up a little, but didn’t bother replacing clearly dirty bedsheets and pillowcases. Lighting in both the room and especially the bathroom was poor at night — they should really improve this. On a positive note, the staff and reservations team were friendly and genuinely tried to resolve issues where possible, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the stay. I would not recommend this place.
The location of the hotel is great and it very accessible to everything. However, this is pretty much all that the hotel has to offer and can be acquired elsewhere. Upon arrival, we checked in well after the designated check-in time and were provided with the keys to our room. However, when we reached the room, it was still being cleaned, and we were asked to wait an additional 30 minutes before we could enter. This was quite disappointing, especially after a long journey, and did not make for a welcoming first impression. Cleanliness was a major disappointment and, judging by other reviews, not a one-off issue. Housekeeping seemed to do the bare minimum during room service — floors and surfaces were often dusty, and crumbs on the floor remained throughout our entire stay. This is unacceptable for any hotel, nevermind one that has a 4-star rating. There is also an ant problem and we had ants all around our room. The room itself was quite cramped, especially for guests with multiple bags. Storage was nearly non-existent, and we essentially lived out of our luggage. Additionally, the walls were incredibly thin — we could hear everything from neighbouring rooms, the hallway, and even outside the building, which made it difficult to relax. The room also had some maintenance concerns, including a bathroom plug that was hanging out of the wall — a clear safety hazard that should be addressed urgently. Breakfast had a decent variety, and the food itself was fine. However, the experience was undermined by the attitude of the staff, who came across as unfriendly and unapproachable. Several times, staff began cleaning around us while we were still eating — including sweeping under the table and bumping our chairs and feet. It felt rushed and inconsiderate. One particularly off-putting moment was noticing food left on a paper towel on the floor in the corner of the room — something that shouldn't happen in any dining area. Throughout our stay, we also spoke with other guests who had encountered similar issues. Some shared that when they attempted to raise concerns with staff, their feedback was met with defensiveness or, in some cases, hostility. This kind of response is concerning and does little to reassure guests that their concerns are taken seriously or being addressed.
