Golden Beach Resort Anafi

I can see that there are mixed reviews for this hotel. In my opinion our experience was flawless during an admittedly less than peak season period. Service, food, accommodation all were within acceptable parameters. What seems irreplaceable to me was the peace and quiet with incredible stars during the night, something that I find increasingly difficult to find.

Great intimate place with beautiful view. The food and cocktails are fantastic. The employees are really helpful and nice. Cute private beach. Beautiful swimming pool. Very romantic place.

Stunning location with breathtaking sea views — definitely the highlight of the stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the hotel is very isolated, so having a car is basically a must. The continental breakfast was average. Staff were friendly, but either very young or not local, which made it hard for them to offer real help or guidance about the area. Major downside: the room only had hot water! That was a real problem in the middle of a hot summer. Also, the shuttle service to and from the hotel is expensive and should really be included in the price. In short: a beautiful place, but the hotel itself doesn’t live up to its potential.
