would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team at the Golden Tulip Carthage Hotel for their outstanding support in making my event such a great success. From the very beginning, the service was exceptional, and every detail was handled with care and professionalism. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and dedicated—always going the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their hospitality truly made a difference and contributed significantly to the overall experience. Thank you once again to everyone at Golden Tulip Carthage. I deeply appreciate your efforts and support. Warm regards, Rahma Yarbakht
Absolutely disappointing – avoid at all costs! As someone who travels frequently for work, I rarely encounter hotels as outdated and poorly managed as the Golden Carthage Hotel in Tunis. I honestly have no idea how this place is still rated as 5 stars – it barely deserves 2. Everything here feels obsolete: the rooms, the common areas, and the facilities are all stuck in the past and in desperate need of renovation. Communication is a nightmare unless you speak French or Arabic; the staff’s English is extremely limited, making even the simplest requests a hassle. It took me ages just to find the gym because of poor signage and unhelpful reception staff. Once I finally found the gym, the treadmill broke down mid-session and nearly caused me to fall. When I reported it, the lady at the gym desk barely acknowledged me and went right back to scrolling on her phone – zero interest in guest safety or service. The food is basic at best, so don’t expect anything remotely close to a 5-star dining experience. But the absolute worst part is the noise. There’s loud music blasting at the pool all day, and since the rooms are not soundproof at all, there’s no escape. One night, a group of guests decided to swim and shout at 4am, and the security guard trailing them didn’t seem to care about the disturbance. To sum up: stay away from this place.
Things were generally acceptable, except for the hotel’s service department—particularly the dining hall. The dining staff’s behavior was quite unsettling; it felt as if you were dealing with a group of hunters and you were the prey. The hotel must seriously address the conduct and attitude of the breakfast and meal service staff; proper manners and respectful behavior are more important than simply serving food.
