Golden Jomtien Beach Hotel

The Good: The hotel is close to the beach and a night market. The staff is professional and courteous. The Bad: At night it's quite noisy outside from the nearby bars, and also inside with kids screaming and people slamming doors. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is not it. It's a big hotel and the rooms have thin walls. You can hear people stomping down the hallway, others having loud conversations with their room door opened, etc. Breakfast is a feeding frenzy in a small dining room not meant to sit even a fraction of the guests. The choices of food are also not that great. The hotel seems to be suitable only for large tour groups.

Honestly had a horrible experience. The room was clean however, the telephone wasn't working, the staff just laughed it off when I told them about the problem The balcony door lock was faulty and could not have access to the balcony. I had a booking for a room with breakfast and when I called the operator to check on my meal preferences, I was told that breakfast was not included and had to pay, ended up I had to go to the reception to show them the booking and I was greeted with a I heard the room number wrongly, I had spoken to 2 receptionist on the same call and both asked the room number. The worst of all, it was about 11pm, there was a black out, emergency exit light was not working on the hallway, and the emergency floodlight was not working. The backup generator took a while to start and only supported the light in the hallway and not the lights in the room. So my family had to evacuate the building as we did not know what happened, the staircase was piled with items like a storeroom. In general, the building is not fit for use due to meeting such basic law and regulations. I hope they can improve.

The good - close to the beach. The bad the rooms and the service are on hanging express level in China for the ones in the know - so that is the bad. The ugly part is the. Breakfast pool and other facilities. There are no towels at the pool , the water is as cold as all the breakfast items which include the baked eggs. All in all it is terrible hotel and wished the other I wanted to book wasn’t booked out. Avoid if you have other options - I am certain it will. Be better
