A beautiful, tranquil, and calm place for a weekend getaway with your family. The room, breakfast, and overall experience were okay. However, there isn’t much to do here apart from relaxing. I feel this place has so much potential, but it seems the management is somewhat half-hearted in elevating the overall experience. They need to be a bit more creative to truly enhance what this place can offer.
Good location and comfortable villa, though a bit old. In the morning, buggies are available on request, but after 7 pm they are very rare. We waited almost 30 minutes in the cold with kids after the beach, only to end up walking all the way to our villa. Reception was not helpful. However, the next day they offered a late check-out at 3 pm, which we appreciated.
A patience-testing stay after the stay I checked out of Avani Sepang Goldcoast with my wife last Monday, only to realise we’d left a couple of items in the room. Fair enough—that part was on us. What wasn’t on us was the Sunday scavenger hunt that followed: . Lost-and-Found confirmed they had our belongings (great!). . We drove all the way back. Reception, however, is not interested to serve. . Staff politely informed us we would need to “wait two hours” because the person authorised to release lost items was in a meeting. In other words: internal procedures > paying guests. I didn’t book a beachfront resort to experience a real-time simulation of Malaysian administrative red tape, yet here we are. Two hours later, our things finally emerged. Beautiful views can’t mask a service culture that makes guests feel like an afterthought. Next holiday, I’ll let another resort hold my luggage—preferably one that doesn’t also hold me hostage to its internal procedures. 👋 Definitely not coming back ever.
