Golden Prague Rooms

Good location to explore the city old town. Unfortunately we’ve had a room with no air conditioning. Nespresso and kettle in the room and spacious bathroom.

Me and my fiance stayed here on what can only be described as a disappointing trip to Prague. Was worried about noise, it wasn't too bad but as other reviews said you can hear the doors shutting and people talking in corridor. On the last night I think a guest got shut out the other entrance so was banging on the door, at 4:55 in morning. It can feel a bit intrusive when this sound travels. The hotel would benefit from carpets on all the stairwells and corridors, in the rooms and also soundproofing. The hotel needs aircon too as on our first two nights it was so uncomfortable due to the heat. Do have to give staff some praise. We'd booked to go to the synagogue in New Town, walked all the way there to find it was closed despite paying for tickets! That was it for us, got back to hotel and all I wanted at that point was an English cup of tea. My fiance went to reception and the girl with blond hair and glasses gave him a kettle, teabags and milk so I could at least have some home comfort. Couldn't thank her enough for doing this, especially as we encountered so many disappointments along the way. Not sure we'd stay here again though, location is perfect but the noise problem does need fixing. And please put aircon in the rooms.

The rooms are nice and clean, but while taking a shower, the door came off the rails and shattered all over me while I was naked! Lucky, I was able to get out without getting cut, and they apologized and cleaned it up and replaced the door. For the rest of my trip, I decided to shower without closing the sliding glass doors. They have no AC, so beware when booking in the summer, but I came in winter, and the radiator worked perfectly
