Golden Time Hotel

The hotel is ok, a bit outside the city. The old town was all filled up but the rooms are spacious. The very nice surprise was the restaurant. There’s Romanian food and Lebanese, we got the Lebanese meze and it was truly delicious, and Mihai was a great host.

The hotel is nice but if you search for a quiet place then for sure you must avoid the rooms that have the direction to the main street because it is a crowded boulevard, and the soundproof of the windows are very poor, i woke up at least 5 times in the night, then i heard the guest above me listening to music on the phone.. and also speaking on the phone, then around 3:00 am i heard the phone alarm of one of the guests.. then around 6 am i heard a child crying that was located in the same floor, 3 rooms distance on opposite side of my room… very poor sound isolation. In conclusion; if you are not sensitive about the noise then is ok, it was clean, breakfast was ok.

Extremely dated hotel in dire need of a huge update. Extremely questionable safety standards. Could've been a real 4 star level hotel thirty years ago when it was still new The lighting and carpets give the hotel a very old and dirty look. Only one single small elevator serving the different floors. Corridor lights are dim and motion activated, and you'll be waltzing through dark corridors if somehow they don't automatically turn on. To access the small number rooms on the first floor (100-104?), you'll have to carry your suitcase down an extra flight of stairs. There was a weird hole in one of the rooms and the room was very small (room 104). One of the lights in the toilet was broken and when asked for it to be fixed, a hotel staff member incredibly said the other lights are working so it "is enough". What a joke. Bed sheets were also marked with various stains. Emergency exit plans are hand drawn and not correctly oriented and doesn't even point out where to go once you exit your room. I guess it's useful if you have no idea how to exit your room and somehow can flip the image 180 in your head. Absolutely unbelievable safety standards and I have no idea how this passes any proper inspection. Stay away unless you enjoy an old hotel with questionable cleanliness, safety and design.
