Golden Tulip Borjomi

Very nice hotel located right outside the Borjomi park. This 19th century building is very luxurious and beautiful. The receptionist was very kind to us with all our needs. The spa facilities that you can book for an hour each day were really relaxing. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about going to Borjomi to book here.

Good for a night if you're curious about Borjomi. Its probably the most interesting building in Borjomi and a great effort has been made to keep as many original elements as possible. Spa facilities were great, you book the whole complex: small spa pool and two saunas for an hour at a time during which you have exclusive use of the area. Rooms were quite dark. The hotel needs repairs, eg. the deck which should be a featutof the building is deteriorating badly in places. Cracked tiles and dodgy wiring in the bathroom also needs some work.

We came to Borjomi and chose this hotel because we’d heard great things about it. Unfortunately, our first impression was ruined by the receptionist — a middle-aged woman who seemed extremely annoyed that we dared to ask her anything. She barely responded, like we were trying to stay there for free. The most uncomfortable part? We spoke to her in English — and she was cold and dismissive. But the moment a Russian-speaking woman showed up, she suddenly became all smiles and switched to perfect Russian. Seriously? Preferential treatment for Russians in Georgia right now? Not a great look. Disappointing and totally out of place.
