One of the best hotels we stayed in during our European trip. The breakfast was fantastic, and the location was great. They even gave us a small gift for our honeymoon. If you are driving, ask the staff about the free parking lot; it is a four-minute drive, and you can take the bus back for €2.50.
Very good hotel, just ten minutes walk from the main square of Bruges. The hotel, although a bit old, is spotlessly clean, has spacious rooms, and has an excellent breakfast. The location on a canal in the city is unique, and the view from the rooms at the front is breathtaking. Finally, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The only negative is the few parking spaces available, but street parking is easy and not too expensive.
The room was large and spacious. The mattress was really soft. The bathroom stank off sewage the entire time we were there. You had to have the windows open the whole time to be able to stay in the room. The breakfast was the worst so far in Europe, a buffet of bacon and scrambled eggs and baked beans and some overdone croissant and bread roast. Very forgettable!
