I had high hopes for this hotel, but overall, the experience was quite disappointing. While the location is good, the hotel is very small, and the rooms are extremely cramped—barely enough space for a suitcase and one person to move around. I did not get a river view, which is supposedly the best feature of the property. The gym is almost non-existent, and service was frustrating. I requested a simple omelet every morning, and the chef continuously refused, claiming she was overwhelmed—even when only two guests were present. It was only after I asked the waiter to tell the chef that I’d cook it myself that I was served a badly overcooked and tasteless omelet. On the bright side, the reception staff and waiters were polite and professional, and housekeeping was honest and efficient. Their service was the only redeeming aspect of my stay. Despite those few positives, I would not return to this hotel.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had an extremely disturbing and unacceptable experience. One day, someone entered my room while I was asleep. I woke up to find the person running away, and I have no idea who it was or why they were there. This incident left me feeling unsafe and anxious for the rest of my stay. The hotel staff did not provide a clear explanation or even offer a proper apology. If this is how they treat guest privacy and security, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. Privacy and safety are the bare minimum a hotel should provide — and this hotel completely failed.
Our experience at the Golden Tulip Design Hotel Tbilisi was extremely disappointing. The rooms were shockingly small, leaving us feeling cramped and uncomfortable, and the absence of a balcony was a major letdown, especially considering the beautiful views the city has to offer. To make matters worse, the hand shower in the bathroom was not working, and the staff informed us that no maintenance service was available before 9 AM, which was highly inconvenient. Despite clearly mentioning that we were on our honeymoon, we were offered a room that completely failed to meet even basic expectations, ultimately ruining what was meant to be a special and memorable stay.
