Golden Tulip Tanzania

This is a nice, spacious hotel with very friendly staff support and cleanliness. The location is good, with many sea view rooms and a nice pool next to the sea. The place usually not very busy and the garden is nice. For me the main issue was with the WiFi access and poor availability on few days, hence 4 star rating.

Only good thing about this hotel is its location. Everything else is terrible. Room was dirty shower barely worked. AC unit made a loud squeaking noise so we could not sleep. Called the front desk they had to have a maintenance guy come into our room at 11:30pm to “verify.” Very intrusive. Even after he “verified” they refused to change my room. I had to call them and complain 2 more times before they finally found another room for us. Room service food was terrible, Chicken Mishkaki was cold and tasted wrong. Breakfast Buffet in morning was okay but there was no cups or plates anywhere and the egg guy told me he couldn’t cook me any eggs. Avoid this terrible hotel at all costs not worth the $100 I spent a night.

I strongly advise to avoid this place. As outsiders, we went for the swimming pool and we also tried food and drinks. The pool is extremely dirty. The water is milky and full of rubbish. The sun beds are smelly, old and full of all sort of insects crawling all over your body. When we raised the concern with the GM and ask for a refund, he acted extremely unprofessionally and rudely. The service is terrible, the staff is not even able to make a gin tonic and the overall vibe awful.
