Goldstar Appartements Nice

Just returned from a lovely week at the Goldstar Apartments. Highly recommended for families looking for an alternative to a typical hotel family room which is expensive in the area of Nice. Staff very friendly and approachable for any ask. Breakfast is over the road at the Best Western – it’s really good quality but quite pricey if not part of a package, the gardens here are very relaxing and the staff are friendly, it’s nice to have a drink here from their bar menu (little to no food options though). The Goldstar Apartments are slightly dark and need to be modernised but that should not affect from the lovely comfy bed and big bathroom. Some promotions from 3rd parties state there is a roof terrace & pool but this is no longer available which is a shame. I had an electric scooter and I could easily navigate the lifts and room with it so it’s very accessable. Really happy overall and would recommend.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. First of all, they cancelled my reservation because in one of the forms my last name was missing. They did not call or e.mailed to check or ask. They just cancelled by mail 2 days before arrival. I was travelling, so I did not see the mail. When we arrived we did not have a room for the first night and we had to go to a hostel. Then, they accommodated us for the rest of the nights. On the experience: The rooms did not have air conditioner. It was very hot, and they did not turn the A/C on. Instead they gave us a small fan. The shower did not have a curtain, so the bathroom would be flooded after a shower. AVOID THIS HOTEL. There are much better options out there.

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. There was no air conditioning the entire time, despite being told on the first night that it was just a temporary issue. Our room had no Wi-Fi access, and when I asked the staff about it, they simply said they didn’t know. The bath towels had a terrible smell, and the breakfast was awful and repetitive—clearly low quality, and it even seemed like they watered down the dishwashing liquid. While the staff were polite, they were unhelpful and uninformed about basic issues. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, or good service.
