Golfhotel Les Hauts de Gstaad & SPA

One of the best experiences in Switzerland! Lovely staff, amazing panoramic views of the Alps and delicious food. The spa was very clean, relaxing and spacious. Would recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a traditional Swiss getaway. Really looking forward to going back!

We had a quick misunderstanding prior to the arrival, in the end everything went fine. I could have put 5 stars if I wasn't made to wait AFTER a long/early dawn train journey for an early check-in just to make a point that your check-in time is at 3pm despite the hotel running at 30% capacity. I know that an early check-in shouldn't be taken for granted, but be mindful when you make someone wait to check-in with a young child, and 5min later you check-in a couple and bring them straight to their bedroom with no fuss. POSITIVE NOTE, breakfast on the terrasse was a treat, small but healthy, great quality. Afternoon cakes, small but amazing quality and I'm extremely fussy with food. OVERALL, I'll go back to the hotel next time as the price value was great for the area. Keep it up!

Lovely hotel as you enter and welcome sets a great first impression. However, to us it’s not a 4 star hotel and its priced like a 5 star hence our 2 star rating as the value balance is off in our opinion. The biggest gripe we had is the beds are too hard and pillows too soft to us sleep is of top importance. We waited to write the review until the end of a week touring the swiss alps so we had a better understanding of other hotels in the area. Golfhotel was by far our worst sleep. Dinner was very good, but extremely expensive 250 chf for 2 ppl with 4 drinks it was not extraordinary either I would eat elsewhere next time. The buffet was also average for swiss standards all other buffets in Switzerland were better even low priced hotels like Raddison Blu. Service was good but not exceptional. We stayed in Fairmont Le Montreux 1.25 hours away the next night and it was way better and cheaper on all fronts by far! I would suggest staying there and driving 1.2 hours to get to Gstaad as you still have to drive from Golfhotel hotel to the ski lifts anyways (even tho its only 10 mins its still nowhere near the lifts so you have to drive). We wished we stayed at a cheaper hotel in Gstaad as we’re sure it wouldn't have been worse. I guess you pay for the pool/spa which is nice, but again no where near the size and quality other hotels we stayed at in Switzerland.
