The Goodview Hotel Sangem Zhangmutou offered a truly memorable experience during my trip to China. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene ambiance and beautiful surroundings. The hotel itself is remarkably well-appointed, blending a sense of traditional Chinese elegance with modern comfort. My room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and offered stunning views of the nearby landscape, which created a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle. The property’s amenities were impressive. Whether I was relaxing by the pool, enjoying the well-designed gardens, or sampling delicious local dishes at their in-house restaurant, every experience was thoughtful and enhanced by the warm, attentive staff. This stay was not just comfortable but also genuinely immersive, adding depth to an already unforgettable journey through China.
Slightly dated but still in decent nick with a taste of extravagance. Nice position up a hill. With a children's play pool/slides. Nice touch. Just came to use the Chinese restaurant (飲茶). Reasonable selection of dishes. Not bad a place to bring a family for lunch.
I stay here on business because it's very close to our factory. It's a hotel that gives the impression it was once very nice, but has fallen somewhat into disrepair. Front desk staff speaks passable English, so make sure you request a soft bed if you don't want the Asian style firm mattress. The rooms vary substantially, with some having non-functional air conditioning, some having stains in the bathtub, etc. One of my coworkers used the hairdryer once, only to have it literally catch fire. The downstairs "Western" restaurant buffet is a minefield of potentially inedible but hilariously translated dishes. The upstairs Chinese restaurant has better food, but you probably want a Chinese speaker with you to help order. At the end of the day, it's a reasonably comfortable place to rest your head, but I wouldn't recommend it, and honestly would prefer a longer commute to the factory in exchange for better accommodations.
