Gounod Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Nice! The service was excellent — friendly, professional, and always helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay (coffee, tea, wine on our honey moon )The location couldn’t have been better — central and convenient, with easy access to all the main attractions and the beach. The only downside was the mattress and pillows- unfortunately it wasn’t our type. A special mention goes to the lovely receptionist, Frida, who truly made our visit extra special. She greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her dinner recommendation for our last evening was absolutely spot on — a perfect end to our trip!

The Gounod hotel exceeded all expectations! From the warm hospitality from Receptionist, Frida, to the stunning kitchen staff, Zine & Solomon to the views and cleanliness, every detail was thoughtfully curated. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort and elegance in a beautiful setting. Easy access to the beach, restaurants and the train station. The only thing I would change, is adding more mirrors to the room. Also having access to The Splendid spa/Hotel Right at the end of the road, we had access to their Gym, sauna, swimming pool and Jacuzzi 24/7 - Icing on the cake.

Room: Large and quite room with classic but also a bit modern French vibe. Only down side is there is NO shower. The bath tab is nice but npt very convenient if you want to stand up and shower. Water will go everywhere as there is not shower curtain. Location: 10 min walk to Nice Train station, close to bus stop that takes you to old town nice in about 10 min ride. Breakfast: Very limited options for a 4-star hotel. 22 euro/person for only few egg options and limited selection of others. Do not recommend to have breakfast here, many better options around the town. Service: Reception speaks perfect English. Standard hotel service, nothing bad and nothing stands out.
