Goya Boutique Resort

I really cannot say enough about this hotel, it's an absolute gem. The entrance is beautiful but it's what lies beneath literally. I had a room with a pool on the ground floor. The room was gorgeous with all you could need in this piece of paradise. The staff were so attentive, kind and helpful. I had an early flight and they provided me with a breakfast hamper. This hotel was worth every penny and I would have gladly paid more. Also a massive shout out to the in-house spa team...wow, just wow. So professional and knowledgeable, I had a few treatments each worth every penny. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family and friends, in fact, anyone who will listen. This hotel is also in the perfect location for popular attractions and some are within walking distance should you want to explore. I felt safe walking around day and night. If you want to treat yourself to a gorgeous slice of luxury in paradise.

This is probably our 4-5th time staying in Goya and I would still choose Goya if we are coming to Ubud again. The issue is the increasingly frustrating traffic leading to Ubud and the traffic in Ubud itself, but if I’m coming back, I’ll stay in Goya. The view is great and the service is good. Breakfast is always delicious. You get to choose one sweet and one savoury. There’s high tea too. Absolutely love Goya.

We stayed at Goya Boutique Resort for three nights during our trip and found it to be a beautiful, tranquil retreat away from the bustle of Ubud. The resort offers a serene atmosphere, with stunning surroundings that make it easy to relax and unwind. What truly sets this place apart is the staff – they were exceptional. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always greeting us with a warm smile. Their hospitality made a lasting impression. Upon arrival at 2 PM, although our room wasn’t ready, we were invited to enjoy lunch at the restaurant, where we were surprised with a thoughtful anniversary cake – a lovely gesture that made us feel special from the very start. The restaurant served brilliant food, and the breakfast options were generous and satisfying. The pool area is a highlight, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. Our only disappointment was the room. We had booked based on photos that showed a high-floor view, but were given a ground-floor room with no view of the surroundings. Additionally, we encountered a few minor issues: no hot water on the first day (promptly fixed by maintenance), an empty water dispenser that wasn't refilled by housekeeping, and a couple of cockroaches spotted just outside the room. Despite these small setbacks, our overall experience was positive, thanks to the exceptional staff and the beautiful, calming environment.
