GR Solaris Cancun

The entire staff at this resort did an outstanding job at making us feel welcomed. They took great care of us all around the resort! The rooms were very clean with a beautiful ocean view, and the restaurants had a big variety of foods to choose from.

I had the most amazing time at GR Solaris in Cancun! The resort itself is beautiful, but one of the absolute highlights of my stay was the wellness activities—especially the yoga and aqua fit classes with Yzrael. He is truly the BEST trainer ever! His energy is contagious, his instructions are clear, and he makes every class so much fun while still giving you a great workout.

I’ve been traveling to Mexico annually for over 20 years and I must say Samuel at the front desk of GR Solaris Cancun is the most unhelpful host I have come across. He either doesn’t like Americans, doesn’t like non-members, or both. Take caution when making a reservation, especially through a third party agency such as Expedia. They will not honor your room reservation and have no problem sticking a family of four in a room with just a king bed. With no explanation of amenities, restaurants, room location, no mention of how to make reservations or the need for the hotel app. Samuel handed me the key cards and without even a nod towards the elevator said “Adios!” On a positive note, the service in the restaurants was good. The food is what you would expect at an all inclusive. Nothing spectacular but not bad. The wood fire pizza was great! Housekeeping was hit or miss. Sometimes they provided wash clothes, most days they did not. Activities are easy to access. Shows are decent. All in all not horrible but would not likely go back.
