Loved the camp we had with our scouts for their epedition. Facilities were clean and tidy and warden and the team were super helpfull. Highly recommended
We've just had a weekend at Gradbach with 15 scouts, and I think all the leaders agreed it was one of the best weekend Scout camps we can remember! We were blessed with several inches of snow, which turned the area into a Narnia-esque winter wonderland. Our planned activities went out of the window as all the scouts wanted to do was play in the snow, so we let them! A magical walk up to Lud's church, snowmen, sledging, and snow angels before heading back for a roast dinner and an evening in front of the log burner. Perfect! The accommodation was perfectly clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cater for our group. Thanks for having us! ❄️
Its a nice campsite located in the heart of the peaks. The site is relatively large as it holds annual competitions (Border hike, JBT), but the place is never crowded. There are many footpaths leaving to and from the site making it ideal for DofE or a quick hike before bed! I recommend this site to scout and explorer leaders in particular as it doesn't have many activities.
