Very nice b&b right in the center of the old town of Matera. The service is very friendly and extremely accommodating. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the old town is a treat and so is a nice glass of wine at the rooftop at sunset. Strolling through the city easily fills a day. Hiking through the canyon is a pleasure especially if you go off the beaten path. We also enjoyed a visit to nearby Gravina and the somewhat further away Castle di Monte.
This B&B is well position for a visit to the Sassi. Giuseppe is a very nice host who gave us great tips about parking, restaurants and tours. He served us with a very nice breakfast (a freshly baked croissant with pistacchio cream) on the terrace with a beautiful view of Matera. I'll definitely go back again.
We were felt very welcome by Giuseppe and his wife. He met us in the square and helped with the luggage. The views from the terrace are amazing, this is where breakfast is served which was really good and the home made cake was delicious. Definately recommend it.
