Gradinile Romane

Our stay at Gradinile Romane, located on the shores of a beautiful lake, was truly memorable. The rooms were spacious and offered breathtaking views of the lake, which created a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel grounds are well-maintained with lovely garden. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist, offering great recommendations for local sights, such as nearby monasteries and natural landmarks. It’s an ideal retreat for anyone looking to unwind and escape the hustle of daily life.

Not Worth the Hype or the Price – A Disappointment in Every Sense I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one earned it. If you’re going to charge premium prices, at least deliver a premium experience — or some experience, for that matter. We specifically booked outdoor seating, only to be awkwardly crammed indoors like an afterthought. It was so tight, the poor guy behind me literally had to shift to a different part of his table just so I could sit down. That alone set the tone. Then came the drinks menu — or should I say, the what-could-have-been section. Out of 5 drink options, only one was available: cold mineral water. Classy. The food selection? Also limited, with no heads-up. And despite being ravenous from a chaotic, poorly marked road just to find this place, I was told the food would take 40–50 minutes. That was the final straw. If I wanted to pay top dollar to be hangry and ignored, I could’ve stayed home. This place really had potential — but I didn’t come for vibes, I came for an actual meal and basic hospitality. Neither showed up. Do better.

I was very disappointed with this experience. The road to get there was in terrible condition – extremely bumpy and uncomfortable, which already made the journey unpleasant. When we finally arrived, we were told that around 80% of the items on the menu were unavailable. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since we had taken the time to look forward to certain dishes. In the end, we wasted an hour and a half for nothing. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless major improvements are made.
