Graduate by Hilton New Haven

First time staying at a Graduate by Hilton. Let me start off by saying that I was NOT going to book this room just from the photos of the hotel on the Hilton website, but it was a very cool hotel (outside of the room). The beds are small, very small. The room decor was just...how do I put it without sounding harsh .......ugly. sorry couldn't do it. I travel for work weekly, spending 4 nights a week in a hotel, I doubt I ll ever book another Graduate if this is what they are all like. There are no ice machines anywhere, so you have to request a bucket of ice from the front desk. The employee at the desk was very nice and friendly. The hotel was also very quiet. I did get a good night if rest, which ultimately is more important than room decor. I do wish I had more time to explore the hotel, especially the first floor. The lobby was visually amazing. Parking......ugh, was not fun, nor close, which I know if you are in a city, parking is going to be an issue, which is why I always try to book a hotel with its own parking lot. There is no free parking here, not even for diamond members (which is weird), Ive stayed at other hotels with off-site parking garages, and they validated parking for Diamond Members, but not here. Another reason I likely won't stay here again. We are already paying for the room.

Its central location and character-filled spaces make it ideal for visitors seeking both convenience and personality. 🌟 Good to know: If you’re driving, note the lack of dedicated parking. If in-room amenities like a fridge or coffee maker are essential, double-check availability when booking.

Great hotel with a delicious coffee shop, we enjoyed our stay but likely wouldn’t return. Although it’s located near one of the best schools, the area feels unsafe. Bikers and vehicles with no license plates terrorize the streets. You need to be fully aware of your surroundings when you are walking around, Harlem felt safer by comparison.
