Had a fantastic stay during the secret pre-pre-pre-opening week. Fantastic hotel but the water slide and imax theaters were under construction. Still, the 6 restaurants made up for it. Highly recommend.
Overall I was very pleased. They accommodated my request and were helpful. The room was great. One of the more interesting looking hotels inside , plush reds and velvets. It was for a romantic get away and it did not disappoint. It was quiet. I paid up for a king room with a view of the park. They upgraded me to a suite. We didn't take advantage of the great restaurant but the Jade and rose bar are cool. Guest at the hotel have access to Gramercy park which is not open to the public, one of the cooler features.
My entire stay here was great. I arrived somewhat late from JFK and the front desk was super welcoming and friendly... even that late at night. Room service and concierge was also great (I ordered the grilled cheese - it was super and not what I expected). The hotel itself is probably my new favorite in NYC... feels dark and moody, without feeling pretentious. I’ll definitely be staying here again.
