Gran Caribe Puntarena Beach Fun & Gran Caribe Salsa Club Playa Caleta

The reviews for this resort were really bad so going in my friend and I were scared but this resort was way better than we thought it would be. We are both students in our twenties so we didn't expect much and it exceeded our expectations. The bathrooms are gross but that's to be expected in Cuba. We brought some toilet paper from home, highly recommend doing that. For the price, the rooms and food were very good. Room was clean, beds comfy. The beach is so nice and there were always chairs for us to use. The food is repetitive but good and there's always enough. The servers are helpful if you're missing a cup or cutlery. The staff is nice. There's animation daily. The main partying in Varadero is a bit far but you can taxi. Also, it's easy to walk into town to go buy souvenirs or go out for food. All in good worth it for your money.

Would not recommend, staff are friendly but there was little food offered, at the start of the beach so not much activity as a little far from Varadero centre. Rooms are very dated and not the most pleasurable stay however if you are looking for a cheap stay it would surfice.

stay away from this hotel, it’s dirty, cockroaches in the rooms, everything is broken, the food is horrible and the stuff rude. If this place was in Europe would have less than 1 star. Even the street cats outside prefer starve to dead rather than eat food from that place.
