Gran Evenia Panama

I spent a few nights here on either end of a weeks stay at a fishing resort. Breakfasts were excellent as was the one dinner I ate at the restaurant. The front desk, bar, and restaurant staff were all well trained and very accommodating. The rooftop pool was a treat and well maintained and the gym/fitness tlroom was well above average for hotels in this price range. My only disappointment was the awkward layout of the bathrooms, a small point in an otherwise excellent experience. The surrounding area had many cafés, good restaurants, bars, convenience stores and specialty stores within easy walking distance. Highly recommend!

Customer service was nice. The breakfast bar was good. The location was fine but the room was hot and smelled everyday. We did ask for them to fix the air but it is not cooler. There are some type of fresheners in the vents and they are not working. My room was left unlocked by the cleaning staff and sometimes we didn’t receive towels but I went and got some from the front desk. There are no wash cloths so get one from the store or bring your own. If they fix the smell I’d come back again.

We spent 1h and 45 min!!! in the reception waiting for the concierge to register 10 rooms for our group. Surreal. Otherwise the room was spacious and nice. But the almost 2h, after 21h journey to get there is not nice. They offered us a complimentary drink on the second day.
