Our stay at Gran Hotel Sóller had a bit of a bumpy start, but thankfully it turned into a really enjoyable experience.When we first arrived, the hotel looked beautiful, full of character and charm, and we were excited to check in. Unfortunately, our room had two single beds instead of the double we had booked. The twin beds were rock-hard, closer in comfort to a mortician's slab than anything fit for sleep. The beds were not only hard, but on wheels, sliding around unpredictably with every movement; turning sleep into an uncomfortable roller disco. To the hotel’s credit on addressing this things improved quickly. The manager had the beds changed to a double the next day with mattress toppers, which made a world of difference. After that, we could relax and start enjoying the hotel properly. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast was fresh, varied, and served in a peaceful space that made mornings feel like a treat. The English breakfast was more of a Spanglish breakfast, though they have many alternatives including a great range of omelette's. One of our favorite spots was the rooftop pool. It’s a beautiful, quiet area to unwind, take in the views of the mountains, and cool off after a day of exploring. It added a really special touch to our stay. Currently staying here and feeling relaxed and well taken care of, we would definitely consider coming back.
Such a fabulous hotel. And all of the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was outstanding and my favorite part of the day, especially sitting on the patio planning our day. Rooms were very spacious and a perfect location. An opportunity: the air conditioning wasn’t great.
Staff and service were amazing and very helpful. The location was very good. Breakfast was very nice. However the rooms were a bit run down and what would be expected of a five star hotel. For example the furniture was chipped and dirty, and one of the rooms really smelled bad. Also one would expect a coffee machine in the room at this day and age and for the price.
