Gran Hotel Victoria

We recently celebrated our wedding day at the Gran Hotel Victoria, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. ❤️ From the beautiful ceremony that the team set up, to the delicious dinner and the truly unforgettable party, everything went perfectly smoothly. The staff made us and our guests feel welcome and cared for — their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine warmth truly made the day magical. We would like to sincerely thank the entire team for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. Lovely hotel in Sandinero. All staff were very friendly, particularly the receptionist we met. Good English spoken which is always appreciated. The room we had was very large with sea views. It was a longish walk into Santander, but the bus service looked very efficient. Would highly recommend this hotel. There is underground parking but also free stree parking opposite, if you can get a place...

The room booked (double with terrace) is extremely small. Struggled to open two cabin bags. Definitely not worth EUR260 - basically there is surge pricing going on. The bed was comfortable. Bedside lighting a bit on the bright side, disturbs the partner if on. Our Land Rover Defender did not fit in the underground parking. No solution was offered. I asked if we could park on the street, and the answer was “yes, anywhere where there are white lines.” Receptionist could have warned me that I would not find parking on the street (drove around for 25 minutes!) . Even better / mor helpful would have been to advise me to drive to the following nearby public parking (free): Av. de la Magdalena, 3, 39005 Santander And drive to the end to park. From there, it takes a few minutes up to the steps to park. We asked about possibility of late check out (as we only checked in after midnight) - we were given 30 minutes beyond normal noon check out. Beyond that we would be charged 50% of the room price. The breakfast was underwhelming. The location was excellent. Maybe go here in low season and book the larger rooms for a good price?
