Gran Sol

Five stars all the way. My friend and I have just returned home, having had the best experience at this hotel. The staff are friendly and amazing. Always happy and service with a smile. The food selection is brilliant. Everything is fresh and you will not be left wanting. The rooms, like everything else at the hotel is spotless. It's a small hotel, 58 rooms and the vibe is chilled and relaxed. We loved it so much, we are already planning to go back in September and I don't generally revisit holiday hotels but this hotel in my opinion is worth a revisit. A big thank you to all the staff/team at Gran Sol.

Well, where do I start? We had never been to Majorca before so didn't know what to expect, we was truly blown away from how this holiday was. Upon getting to the gran sol we was greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked us in and gave us a cold mocktail which was well appreciated. The hotel is exceptionally clean from top to bottom inside and out, rooms are spacious and the sea view is stunning (especially if u get up for sunrise, ITS A MUST) there was water in the room with tea coffee and biscuits. The shower was great, we had 1 day where the water pressure dropped off so I called reception and within 5 minutes it was all sorted out. The bar staff are very helpful and happy, you will just get a seat and they will do everything else for you, even bring your drinks to you at the pool. The food we had was lovely, the breakfast and lunch was superb and very generous portions. There is some evening entertainment but usually a solo singer, the bigger events are next door at the lavante sister hotel. The pool was very clean with staff always keeping an eye on the water purification and lifeguard on from 9am till 6pm. One thing is if hotel is busy then u need to get down on beds by 8 or may not be any left also a little tip The right side of pool will be shaded by 5pm so try to get the beds at the head of the pool. Hotel is directly on the beach so you can always sit/swim there. The beds were comfy and also a few English TV channels to watch. The owner is a very happy helpful lady also. To sum it all up we had the best time at the gran sol and all of us (family of 4 with 2 girls, 20 and 15) said we would 100% be going back, in fact most people we spoke to were on their 5th to 8th stay. A lovely Hotel with fantastic staff. Food is varied and to a nice standard. Perhaps could cater for vegetarians a little more but no problems . Entertainment is available at sister hotel next door or local bars nearly. This is a smaller Hotel with older clients . Unfortunately there are still the few who insist on reserving Sunbeds early in the morning. Minor niggles and would definitely return.
