Granbella Hotel

We had a great 2 nights at the Granbella Hotel. It's newer, modern, well appointed in the rooms. We stayed in a king room and it was comfortable. Plenty of room. They offer choices of pillows for any need. The breakfast was a basic Turkish breakfast with more than you need and very fresh. There are options for extra foods for an added price. There is a parking area across from the hotel. You just tell them you're at the hotel and there is no charge. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. And they all spoke English for those who need it. The hotel is located in the city, so it can be noisy outside with the window open. All in all a great experience and we are happy to stay here on our next Tekirdağ visit. For those who want to shop the mall is directly across the street, including a supermarket.

Overall it is a great place to stay. The location is great, very central and just a short stroll to the famous promenade. The hotel is clean, the service is up to standard, the rooms are quite spacious, the beds are with comfortable mattresses although the pillows are bulky and you have to ask the staff for orthopedic ones. A huge minus for me was the smell of stale cigarette smoke which made me keep the window open all the time which disabled the air-conditioning. Quite annoying. There was free coffee, tea and water in the room. The breakfast is an open buffet with a good variety of vegetables, cheeses, sausages and pastry. Four stars from me.

Service is not for 4 star hotel. Poor breakfast almost nothing to choose. Management didn't speak english and the man who was on the reception when we checked on was rude . The only person with excellent English was man on reception during night shift. He was happy to assist with all problems and got excellent service from him.
